The Old Granary is ideally situated to explore a variety of attractions both locally and further afield. You can visit charming market towns and villages, country parks and nature reserves, or even take time out for a little retail therapy - they are all on your doorstep!

Famously, Epworth is the birthplace of John Wesley, founder of Methodism. The Old Rectory, which was the original Wesley home, has been completely restored and is now a Museum which is open to the public.
Local attractions in Epworth include The Epworth Show - always held on August Bank Holiday Monday, and Festival of the Plough held in September. Both events are interesting and well worth attending.

Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum - Home to the world’s largest collection of preserved trolleybuses. A Unique Driving Experience - have a go driving a vintage trolleybus!
 
Aero Venture - A treasure trove of aviation history at South Yorkshire’s Air Museum at Doncaster Lakeside - the former site of WWII RAF Doncaster.
 
Potteric Carr Nature Reserve - Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s flagship nature reserve. Situated about 2 miles from the centre of Doncaster, near the M18 and A1.
 
Normanby Hall Country Park - Set in 300 acres of extensive woodland. Enjoy a walk through the Deer Park with its herds of Red and Fallow Deer.
 
Cusworth Hall, Museum and Park - Built in the 1740s, Cusworth Hall is an imposing 18th century house set in extensive landscaped parklands. The Hall organises a year-long programme of events including exhibitions, classic car rallies, open-air concerts, battle re-enactments and craft & plant fairs.
 
Gainsborough Old Hall - Regarded as one of the best preserved medieval manor houses in England. Built between 1460 and 1480 it was visited by both King Richard III and King Henry VIII.
 
Doncaster - A Yorkshire town with a wide range of experiences to offer. Doncaster Market is the largest traditional market in the north of England. The Racecourse is home to the world’s oldest Classic horse race, the St. Leger. Frenchgate Centre and Lakeside Village provide excellent shopping, and the Keepmoat Stadium hosts a variety of sporting events and concerts.
